About Me

My photo
My husband and I, the Dynamic Duo, have been married since 2003. We've weathered the storm of chronic disease (diagnosis 2006), infertility (diagnosis 2007), turning 30 (2006/2007 respectively) a first adoption (2009) of a tender hearted, compassionate Ukrainian BIG boy (born 2006), who has told us he'd like a baby sister, baby brother, big brother, and REALLY big sister. We recently completed our second Ukrainian adoption journey, which brought us a daughter (born 2005). We'll see what else God brings our way!

Impossible? Nah.

I'm not sure why I'm so amazed when my son accomplishes something that he's set his mind to do.  His determination is one of his more prominent character traits.  So when he told me in August that he wanted to ride a bike on two wheels, I supported him.  "Sure, hon.  Let me get the tools to take off the training wheels."  I secretly wondered if his balance issues would keep him from being able to do it, but I certainly wasn't going to say that to him.  The training wheels came off, the knees and elbows continued to get scraped bloody, but, by golly, he was going to do it.

I'm having one of those "my heart is going to explode 'cause I'm so proud of him" mommy moments.
