About Me

My photo
My husband and I, the Dynamic Duo, have been married since 2003. We've weathered the storm of chronic disease (diagnosis 2006), infertility (diagnosis 2007), turning 30 (2006/2007 respectively) a first adoption (2009) of a tender hearted, compassionate Ukrainian BIG boy (born 2006), who has told us he'd like a baby sister, baby brother, big brother, and REALLY big sister. We recently completed our second Ukrainian adoption journey, which brought us a daughter (born 2005). We'll see what else God brings our way!

Memorial Day

My sister in law and her two boys came in for Memorial weekend.  We always love when they come :)  The parade marches at the end of our street, so it's super fun and super easy to attend.  We ate breakfast and mosied on over to see what the day would bring.

CJ and Sam eating breakfast...silly boys!

Do you think my kids love each other?  Maybe just a little bit.

And, of course, candy is thrown for all to enjoy.  The ladies next to us were sweet enough to let us use their blanket AND gave us 3 bags to collect candy.  And we got 3 full bags of candy (more than what we got for Halloween!)  I snuck most of it in to my nephews bag to take home.

Three of the 4 kids enjoying the clowns on tiny motorcycles.

Dave caught CJ mid jump to high five the tall guy.

Even Superman made a visit.

The weekend wore out the kids!

Back Track - May

I guess I need to start back in May, since I didn't update you on all that happened.  It's been so crazy.

First, I got to go on Amelia's field trip toward the end of May.  She was SO excited to see all the animals, but even MORE excited to ride the bus for the very first time!  She did great, although it was a lot of work for me.  I had one other girl with me and the two of them together kept me on my toes (in a good way).

We all sat in the barn and watched a short presentation about where meat, eggs, and cheese come from; they even got to make butter :)  And if all this sounds familiar, it's because Eli got to come to this farm back in the fall.

They had matching tie dye shirts.

The rooster crowed for us this time.  He was LOUD!

I gave Amelia my camera.  She did a pretty good job!

This was her favorite - the pig.

And then we played in the play area for a while.  She did great with all the chaos.  Maybe that's because I was with her.  I was really proud of her!

Geez already!

Just a quick note to say, yes, I know, I owe all of you a post.  Or two.  Or a dozen.  Life has been crazy busy, but in a good way.  Dave's gone out of town twice for a week each.  Two kindergarten graduations, one all day camp, baseball season, and two summer programs.  A drug trial for Eli.  Yet another long term diagnosis for me, which explains my fatigue and "blond" moments, and a biopsy to follow in August.  A trip to Buffalo for a memorial, family reunion, and to celebrate Amelia's 7th birthday.  I have a memory card full of pictures!  I was a little nervous about summer, but we really haven't had too much time to get bored.  And tomorrow we celebrate Amelia's one year anniversary of being home with us.  Time sure does fly when you're busy with two kids!
