About Me

My photo
My husband and I, the Dynamic Duo, have been married since 2003. We've weathered the storm of chronic disease (diagnosis 2006), infertility (diagnosis 2007), turning 30 (2006/2007 respectively) a first adoption (2009) of a tender hearted, compassionate Ukrainian BIG boy (born 2006), who has told us he'd like a baby sister, baby brother, big brother, and REALLY big sister. We recently completed our second Ukrainian adoption journey, which brought us a daughter (born 2005). We'll see what else God brings our way!

Date#1

We have our first date!! Our dossier was registered for submission in the Ukraine!!! Our date to be submitted to SDAPRC (the State Deptmt for Adoption and Protection of the Rights of the Child) is March 2, and then 1-6 months after that, we'll get our date to travel...here we go!

I'm not exactly getting excited just yet. I know it will be a long 3 weeks to wait, but I'm so excited we've been approved. One more thing to check off the list. I don't know what the typical wait has been from this point, so I don't even know when to speculate we'll be traveling. I don't think it will be spring, though. Pray this time goes by fast!!

AWESOME!!!!! I think after you are submitted, it is typically about a month before you get your appointment date. Hopefully, you will be traveling by late this summer. This is wonderful news. I am so excited for you guys!!

Hey you guys that awesome. We leave in three more weeks and can't wait. Time will go fast but it sure will be distracting until then.

That is wonderful news!!! I think you may be traveling late spring...maybe April or May. Hopefully we will be following close behind. It would be nice to travel around the same time. :)

Congrats! I am guessing you are going through AAI in Michigan. We live in Michigan too and used them for our homestudy. We were actually in the Ukraine program but switched countries. You can read about it in our blog if you look at the june 08 blogs. The children from the Ukraine are beautiful:) Cant wait to see your family when you return from the Ukraine with your children. Blessings, Celeste
