About Me

My photo
My husband and I, the Dynamic Duo, have been married since 2003. We've weathered the storm of chronic disease (diagnosis 2006), infertility (diagnosis 2007), turning 30 (2006/2007 respectively) a first adoption (2009) of a tender hearted, compassionate Ukrainian BIG boy (born 2006), who has told us he'd like a baby sister, baby brother, big brother, and REALLY big sister. We recently completed our second Ukrainian adoption journey, which brought us a daughter (born 2005). We'll see what else God brings our way!

March 25th

Ah, the times of peace and calm are gone. We found out this morning that we have an appointment with the SDA on March 25th, which means we have to be in the Ukraine no later than March 24th, and leaving March 23rd. We were told we'd have 2-3 months to get everything together, but apparently things have changed! We've been given less than 2 weeks! But God is good and He will provide for us. Our money is on order and should get here by Wed. We are in the process of getting gifts for the orphanage workers, and money belts, and clothes. And I need to find time to go to Buffalo and drop off our dog and cat at my mother-in-laws. Phew! It's going to be a busy week!

I've been following a few blogs, and I may get a chance to meet a few of the families while we're there! How fun would that be!

What do I need now? We need prayer and lots of it! Pray, pray, pray...then pray some more!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is such wonderful news! I cannot believe how quickly you need to be in Ukraine. That is unheard of! I still cannot believe it....Things seem to be moving so quickly all of a sudden. Hopefully we will be shortly behind you. We will be thinking and praying for you on the 25th!

Yikes! That's not a lot of time! Good luck and we'll be thinking and praying for you. We're supposed to be submitted on the 30th, so I assume we'll have a little more time.

Congratulations! How exciting. We were in Ukraine March 15th-April 15th last year picking up our now 13yo daughter.

We were in Ukraine for nine weeks total last year, so we have lots of experience;)

Remember to pack light! The train station in Kiev is all stairs going down the the train platform, so you will have to carry your luggage down those stairs if you take the train. Plus the aisles are not much wider than airplane aisles. Not to mention there isn't much storage in your train cabin even in first class.

If you have any questions, feel free to email:)
