About Me

My photo
My husband and I, the Dynamic Duo, have been married since 2003. We've weathered the storm of chronic disease (diagnosis 2006), infertility (diagnosis 2007), turning 30 (2006/2007 respectively) a first adoption (2009) of a tender hearted, compassionate Ukrainian BIG boy (born 2006), who has told us he'd like a baby sister, baby brother, big brother, and REALLY big sister. We recently completed our second Ukrainian adoption journey, which brought us a daughter (born 2005). We'll see what else God brings our way!

Ain't It Great to be CRAZY?!?!

The kids.  Are driving. Me CRAZY!  The past two weeks have been nothing but bickering and fighting.  "Share" "Find a way to get along"  "Use kind words" and "Go to your rooms" have been the sayings of the last few weeks.  Right now the kids are in their rooms just chillin' because I was tired of being mediator.  I try to let them work things out as much as I can, but they just can't seem to figure it out without grabbing toys or destroying things the other has made (think lincoln logs flying across the room) or throwing sand at each other, or screaming at each other.  Sigh.  School starts in less than 3 weeks.

The silver lining is that they're going to really love one another one day...

We started the doctors appointments today, complete with bloodwork and a request for poop samples...Joy!  But Amelia looks like she's pretty healthy.  We're investigating the red food allergy.  The doctor thought it was a little strange...we'll see what the bloodwork comes up with and go from there!  Another appointment tomorrow, and one more next week so far.  I'll keep you posted :)

Did they tell you in Ukraine that she's allergic to red food? They actually shy away from giving "colorful" food (like all the healthy fruits and veggies!) to little kids, saying that they are allergic until a certain age. Maybe not the deal in your case, but worth knowing about!

And I know how you feel about playing referee. Yuck.
